- Georges Clemenceau's house and gardens
A lovely walk between the wild gardens by the beach, no doubt inspired by Monet, and the house with sea views from every room.
- Prehisto' site du cairn
Wake up the prehistoric man in you! The whole family can take part in the tours, demonstrations and creative workshops: making fire, hunting, moving a menhir, making jewellery or pottery, and for children: drawing with charcoal, applying make-up with ochre... To be done! A very rewarding experience!
- The Payre estuary
Not to be missed! This site, classified as a Large Natural Complex, was designated the first remarkable site in the Vendée! It's actually the mouth of the oyster-farming channel. A short walk to see the pine forest reflected in its waters, a final meander to skirt the beautiful coastal dune, and the Payré, which is in fact the water source that runs through Talmont and empties into the ocean between Jard-sur-Mer and the Veillon beach...
Many activities are possible near the campsite:
Summer markets: in July and August, a market selling local produce and arts and crafts takes place every Friday and Sunday morning in the Place de l'Eglise.
Night markets in July and August.
CAIRN Prehistoric centre 10 minutes' drive away.
Walks: the Sentier de La Ragnette (4.5 km in the forest), the promenade du Goulet (2.5 km along the river and meadows)...
In the footsteps of Clémenceau: 6 km coastal path, then the forest, cultivated fields, the dolmen and the river.
