Discover the town of Port-des-Barques, situated on a headland at the mouth of the Charente. Take a stroll along the peninsula, which offers incredible views over the Charente, the estuary and the islands. Discover the estuary and the fishing village overlooked by the beautiful seaside villas built between the wars. On the ocean side, stroll or cycle along the wooden pontoons on stilts, known as "fishing refuges".
Don't miss the "Les Cabanes de l'Estuaire" eco-museum. In the heart of an oyster-farming site, you can learn all about oysters, from birth to consumption.
Take to the wind with the Port des Barques sailing club Located 500 m from the campsite, the Port des Barques sailing club welcomes you for sailing, kayaking, paddle or pirogue adventures...
Fort Boyard and l'Ile d'Aix (Aix-en-Provence)
During a guided cruise, you will approach the emblematic building of Charente-Maritime: Fort Boyard. The cruise continues with a stopover on the Ile d'Aix.
